Excursion route passes through the central part of the city. Your attention will be submitted to the historical center of Kharkov - University Hill, where according to written sources, dates back to the history of our city. You will see a lot of monuments of history and modernity of Kharkov: from the legendary foundation until today. Among them:
Pokrovsky Monastery with a bell tower - the parochial Orthodox church in Kharkov.
Stone building Pokrovsky Cathedral which was built by Cossacks in 1689 - instead of the wooden Church of Intercession (known since 1659). Also in 1689 the temple was consecrated by Metropolitan Abraham;
Constitution Square - one of the central and oldest areas of the city. Founded in 1659, simultaneously with the construction of the Kharkov prison. There is a monument to the Bolsheviks - the heroes of the civil war in the Soviet Ukraine;
Assumption Cathedral - Orthodox Church, called the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin. The bell tower of the temple during the construction was one of the highest in Russia, and until the beginning of 21 century it was one of the highest stone building in Kharkiv;
Opera and Ballet Theater - was organized in 1925 as the Ukrainian State Metropolitan Opera. Performs in Ukrainian, Russian, French and Italian;
Mirror stream - one of the symbols of the city, was built in 1947 by architect V. Korzh;
Freedom Square - the central square of Kharkov. It is the second largest square in Europe and the sixth of the world. Since its inception in 1996 and was called Dzerzhinsky Square;
Gosprom – a House of State Industry in 1928 (built in record time on the unique designs)
In 1955, the roof of the building was installed by the first television tower in the USSR height of 45 meters;
Monument to the founders of Kharkov - in the words of the author of the monument Zurab Tsereteli's sculpture symbolizes the Russian-Ukrainian unity.
