Sumskaya Street is an "artery" of our city. Among the architectsit is known as one of the most successful examples of solutions of the central part of the big city. It regained the current shape for over 150 years.
Pushkinskaya Street - was formed gradually. Prior to 1899 was known as the German str., as was inhabited by craftsmen and the Germans. In 1899 there was placed a bronze bust of A.S. Pushkin to the 100 anniversary of his birth on this street. Since then it changed its name to Pushkin.

The building of the Church of Anthony the Great - the construction of the church lasted for more than 8 years, and was completed on April 25 1831. The construction of the building was carried out by the architect Vasilyev with the participation of architects Ton, Tatishchev and Kalashnikov. Now in this building located Ukrainian Cultural Center.
Assumption Cathedral - Orthodox Church, called the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin. The bell tower of the temple during the construction was one of the highest in Russia, and until the beginning of 21 century was one of the highest stone building in Kharkiv.
Gosprom - House of State Industry in 1928 (built in record time on the unique designs in the style of constructivism). In 1955, the roof of the building was installed first television tower in the USSR height of 45 meters.
